Vitamin D helps Crohn’s disease

Did you know that Vitamin D levels help those with Crohn’s disease? Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory disease of the intestines, colon and ileum. A study from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland has found Vitamin D has helped the patients overcome fatigue and limited decreasing muscle strength. The patients that received more than 30 ml of Vitamin D reported significantly higher quality of life scores than patients that were taking less than 30 ml. Researchers Tara Raftery said, “ That 24-point increase in quality of life score exceeded the 20-point increase that is considered clinically meaningful to patients and physicians”.
