There are a few different types of UV rays out and many of us don’t know the difference. UV light are light waves that are invisible to the human eye, and there are UVA, UVB, and UVC. UVA is divided into 1 and 2. UVA1 oxidize the melanin cells on and beneath the surface, so they give you a tan. UVA2 produces melanin in skin. The melanin is what gives your skin color. UVB rays stimulate the skin’s melanin production. It is also the primary UV ray involved with sunburns. UVC is not for tanning purposes. This ray is used for germicidal uses. If you want to avoid any UV rays, you can also try to use a UV free tan such as the Versa Spa or Custom Airbrush.
